Dr. Jess Bunin

COL(ret) Jessica Bunin, MD, MHPE is a Co-Founder and Coaching Lead for All Levels Leadership. She is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. She attended Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. After completing her residency, she returned to West Point where she served as a Psychiatrist. After completing her billet at West Point, she returned to Walter Reed for a Critical Care Medicine Fellowship. After completing her Fellowship, she stayed on as Medical Director of the ICU, Chief of the Critical Care Medicine Service, and Associate Program Director of the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship. In July of 2014, she transitioned to Tripler Army Medical Center where served as the Chief of Critical Care and the Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency. In 2019, she transitioned to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) where she served as the Assistant Dean for Faculty Development delivering almost 100 workshops annually and to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where she served as Program Director for the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship. In 2023, she retired from the Military after serving for 23 years during which she deployed to Iraq as a Psychiatrist and Afghanistan as an Intensivist. She is now a Professor of Medicine and Health Professions Education, a Certified Executive Coach, a co-founder of All Levels Leadership. She has recently completed the American Association of Medical College’s Healthcare Executive Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program. She received the 2025 #IStandWithHer Resilience Award from the Power of Women in Medicine Summit ™Awards Committee. She is passionate about teaching and developing future leaders through faculty development, coaching and mentorship. She has presented over 50 workshops at National and International Conferences – and loves it every time! Her speaking interests are within the leadership realm in topics such as communication, civil discourse, moral courage, giving and receiving feedback, empathy, followership, mentorship, faculty development, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
