Malka Shaw

Malka Shaw, LCSW, is a trauma-focused psychotherapist, educator, and speaker with more than 25 years of experience supporting clinicians, healthcare teams, and organizations navigating burnout, moral distress, high-stakes communication, and the cumulative impact of prolonged stress. Her work translates nervous system science and trauma-informed principles into clear, practical tools that strengthen psychological safety, improve team functioning, and support more sustainable patient care.

Malka is the founder of Kesher Shalom Projects, an educational initiative that provides training on cultural humility, Jewish cultural competence, and the psychological impact of antisemitism, targeted hate, and radicalization, with a focus on what inclusion efforts in healthcare often miss. She also speaks on postpartum mental health and maternal wellness, helping clinicians recognize risk, reduce stigma, and respond with confidence and compassion.

In addition to speaking engagements, Malka develops and delivers continuing education programs for mental health professionals and provides clinical supervision and consultation to clinicians and organizations. She is licensed in New Jersey, New York, and Florida and maintains a private practice. Her presentations are known for being clinically grounded, highly engaging, and immediately applicable, offering audiences both insight and concrete strategies they can use the same day.
